Getting results takes time, but people often spend too much time on things that don’t matter and too little time on the things that matter most.
Here are 3 simple steps to help you make your time and energy count.
- Take more time to eat less.
You look like what you eat more than you look like what you do. People often focus all their time and energy on working out and not enough time managing their diet. In five minutes you can eat enough calories to erase one hour of hard work in the gym.

- Take less time to exercise more.
Sometimes people just going through the motions and wasting a lot of time doing minimal effort. Get better results by turning a morning stroll into a purposeful power walk. If you do weights, train at a higher intensity with less rest in between. It’s not the length of time that counts – it’s the quality of time that really gets you the results you want.
- Take the time to make sure you are not wasting time.
People spend a lot of time and energy on things that don’t work. Fad diets, weight loss gimmicks, books and fitness magazines often lead you to believe weight loss can be easy. It’s our human nature to try the easy way first. In the end, we just waste a lot of time trying to avoid the inevitable. Other people struggle because they completely go it alone with no guidance at all. A person who is basically guessing their way through their fitness program is doomed for failure. Don’t waste your time floundering around aimlessly. Invest a little time initially to be properly guided. Diet and fitness does work. If you take time to understand why and how it works, you’ll be a lot more motivated to apply it to your own life.
